Complaint sent to Manchester City Council on 23rd January 2006 via their Internet site:
http://www.manchester.gov.uk/opservices/highways/lightsproblem.htm

location
Outside the chemist on Dickenson Road just round the corner from where it meets Hamilton Road.

brief description
Since September 2005 (when I phoned in to complain about this issue), the pole for new pedestrian signals has remained placed in front of the old signals (the red and green men), obscuring the pedestrian lights. This is already a very dangerous junction and the fact that it has been left in this state for 3 months makes it worse. Vans are often parked just by the crossing on the market side of the road, so that seeing oncoming vehicles can be difficult without stepping out into the road. Please make the job of finishing the transfer to the new lights a priority.
